Hi there, my name is Carlo Scherer and I’m from Dudelange, Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg,  ... I am an amateur photographer.

I earned my money as a policeman here in Luxembourg ... and now, I’m retired ... retired? well, not really ...

Since I was a teenager, I was interested in photography.

My beginnings were humble. With my first earned money I bought my first camera, a second hand COSINA Hi Lite DL and later the excellent MINOLTA SRT 303b, a faithful companion for many years.

I developed my B&W copies in my small but own little darkroom. My next cameras were a CANON A1, followed by a MINOLTA Dynax 500.

The digital area began and I was a little skeptic. The quality didn’t satisfy me, but I had to try. My first digital cam was a MINOLTA Dimage 7. In 2006 I bought finally my first NIKON “D200”. 2 years later followed the NIKON D3s (a marvelous piece of engineering). Meanwhile I changed to the Nikon D 850. An other hobby is hiking through Europe. While my walking tours I used the small Nikon Coolpix P300 and now the LEICA X2 , with some wonderful results.

I try to cover every theme in photography, mostly on a more romantic way. I try to show the world as I see it and as I feel it ... so just take a walk through my galleries and discover.
